High School Nation is an organization that brings live arts and music performances to high schools across the country in an effort to promote and stimulate arts and music education. In October of 2014 and April of 2016 Palmer High School was a tour location for High School Nation. During these events the entire student body, 1,800+ students, were able to go through artistic booths, interact with industry standard musical equipment, participate in a panel discussion with the artists and organizers, and experience a live music concert. Some students even had the chance to play on stage. At the end of each event, High School Nation and their sponsors donated approximately $10,000 worth of goods, supplies, and services to the school to help our theater, art, and music departments.

“I think the arts are super important because not every student feels success in math and science, but this is what it is for them and if they don’t have the chance to experience it how would they know?” – Palmer High School Student 2016
Each year approximately 50 schools from across the country have the chance to host High School Nation. Palmer is one of a handful that have had the opportunity to host the group multiple times. For information on how your school could host High School Nation, please visit their website at http://www.highschoolnation.com. You will be glad you did.
